About Fiona Broome
Fiona Broome grew up in a haunted house, and has been interested in ghosts ever since.
In the mid-1990s, Ms. Broome began
her first ghost-related website, called "Yankee Haunts." It focused on haunted places in New England.
In 1999, that website became
Hollow Hill, and
expanded to include ghost reports from across the U.S., Canada, Ireland and the U.K. Ms. Broome also
shares advice for new ghost hunters in Hollow Hill's Ghost
Hunters' Guide.
Today, HollowHill.com is one of the
Internet's oldest and most respected ghost-related websites.
Fiona has contributed articles to paranormal
magazines such as "Fate," and her stories have appeared in books such as
Weird Hauntings: True Tales of Ghostly Places
.
Ms. Broome is also the
inspiration for the character "Fiona" in the Charmed novel,
Trickery Treat
by Diana G. Gallagher.
Starting in November 2007, look for Fiona's illustrations
in the book, Do Not Open
.
"Fiona Broome" is a pen name. When she's not
researching haunted places, Ms. Broome is an artist known for her landscape paintings of New England, Ireland and
the U.K. (She paints both haunted and not-haunted locations.)
For Fiona, ghost hunting combines travel, history and
an element of mystery.
